HSA Social Science Recruitment

The HSA Social Science notification is expected to be published by the end of this year. As the first step of the recruitment, Kerala PSC will invite application from the eligible candidates. Only candidates who completely satisfies the entire HSA eligibility criteria as on the commencement of the notification are allowed to apply. Candidates who are expecting the results of the qualifications cannot apply. The applications must be submitted before the last date to apply. Once the window for application is closed PSC will scrutinize the application, schedule the exam and publish HSA Social Science syllabus and exam date. PSC make the admission ticket available in candidate profile. HSA Social Science exam is conducted for 100 marks. The mode examination can either be OMR or online. Candidates will get 1:30 hours to complete the examination. The candidates who secure the minimum cut off mark or above as decided by Kerala PSC will be shortlisted for interview. The interview will be conducted as per the rules of PSC. Maximum score for the interview is 10. Marks scored in exam and interview will be added together to compile the final rank list.

Candidates in the final rank list will receive the advice as per the rotation chart of Kerala PSC.

HSA Social Science Qualifications

Only candidates who possess any of the following qualification are eligible to apply the next HSA Social Science exam.

A candidate with a Degree in concerned subject with B.Ed / B.T in the concerned subject conferred or recognized by any University in Kerala.

  • Post Graduates in concerned subject with B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject
  • BA Degree in Islamic History and Urdu Double main and B.Ed in Social Studies
  • BA Degree in Islamic History (Main) General Economics and Indian History (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed in History.
  • BA Degree in Islamic History and Arabic main and B.Ed in History
  • BA Degree in Islamic History (Main) General Economics and Political Science (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed in History
  • BA (Islamic History and Arabic Main) and B.Ed (Social Studies)
  • BA Islamic History (Main), Indian History and Political Science (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed (History) or B.Ed (Social Studies)
  • BA Islamic History (Main), Political Science and General Economics (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed (Social Studies)
  • BA Islamic History (Main), outlines of Indian Culture and Freedom Movement and Political Science (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed (Social Studies).
  • B.Com with B.Ed-Commerce
  • Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to Degree.
  • BA.Ed Integrated Course (Social Studies, English) conducted by the Regional Institute Of Education in Mysore.

Along with any of the qualification mentioned above, the candidates must have passed KTET category 3. Certification in CTET is not considered equivalent to KTET 3.

HSA Social Science Syllabus

HSA Social Science Syllabus consists of two parts. Part A contains three modules common for all HSA subject exams.
