Kerala PSC HSST Commerce notification is publishing for the recruitment of eligible teachers to Higher Secondary level classes. the notification is expected to be published on June 2024. Aspirants will get a period of one month to apply for the exam.

HSST Commerce Recruitment
Recruitment of HSST Commerce will be conducted state-wide. Based on the number of applicants an all Kerala exam will be conducted. The exam will be conducted with 100 objective type questions in 1 hour 15 minutes. For each correct answer 1 mark will be credited and 0.33 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
After the written exam PSC will publish a shortlist / probability list. Only candidates who have marks equal or above the cut-off mark will be included in the list.
Candidates in the shortlist will be called for interview / document verification. After this stage of recruitment Kerala Public Service Commission will publish the final Ranked List.
Further appointment will be conducted based on this HSST Commerce ranked list. Also, the appointment is subject to the reporting of vacancy and rotation chart.
How to apply for HSST Commerce?
Candidates aspiring to become a Commerce Higher Secondary School Teacher should create their own Profile in Kerala Public Service Commission Thulasi website.
Read the detailed instruction about the formats of particulars to be uploaded and fill the personal details of the candidates.
Note down the profile username and password for future login purposes. After updating further details such as educational qualification and other details.

HSST Commerce Qualification
Candidates must have acquired all qualifications for Kerala HSST before applying. Following are the educational qualification required for HSST Commerce.
- Masters Degree in Commerce with marks equal to or above 50% from any Universities or recognized by such universities in Kerala.
- SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates are eligible for 5% relaxation in Post-Graduation marks.
- Candidates must have studied and successfully completed B.Ed Degree in concerned subject or any subject as a regular course.
- State Eligibility Test certification, in concerned subject, is a must for the candidates applying for HSST Commerce.
- Candidates with various degrees such as M.Phil, Ph.D, Post-Doctoral Fellowship will get weightage marks. The mentioned degrees are not mandatory for HSST Commerce.
The weightage for various non-qualifying exams are as follows:
M.Phil – 2 Marks
Ph.D. – 4 Marks
M.Phil + Ph.D – 5 Marks
Post-Doctoral – 2 Marks
Fellowship
Candidates with following certifications do not require LBS SET qualification
- State Level Eligibility Test for the post of College Lecturers, conducted by Government of Kerala
- National Eligibility Test / Junior Research Fellowship.
- Ph. D. / M. Phil / M. Ed.
M. Phil in the concerned subject should be from any of the universities or recognized by such universities in Kerala.
Apart from the educational qualification, candidates must be in the specified age group also, in order to satisfy HSST eligibility. Candidates aged between 20 – 40 are eligible to apply. The exact dates of birth (upper and lower limit) will be mentioned in the KPSC HSST notification.
HSST Commerce Exam Date
HSST Commerce exam date is yet to be announced. The exam date will be decided by Kerala PSC and published along with the respective month’s exam calendar. Since the notification is expected on June first, exam can be expected towards the end of 2024.
HSST Commerce Vacancy
HSST Commerce vacancy is not yet declared. The reported number of vacancies will be mentioned in the Kerala PSC HSST Commerce notification. If the vacancy is mentioned “anticipated” in HSST Commerce notification, then the vacancies will be reported during the course of recruitment. Also, the candidates from the ranked list will be advised to join according to the vacancies reported during the period of ranked list.
HSST Commerce Previous Advice.
HSST Commerce examination is being conducted on all Kerala basis. Eligible candidates all over Kerala can participate in the recruitment program conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission.
As per the official information in Kerala PSC website a total of 140 applicants included in the final ranked list of the previous recruitment has been advised for joining as on April 2024. The existing ranked list has expired and hence the new appointments for the current and upcoming vacancies will be carried out from the ranked list which will be published in pursuance of the upcoming HSST Commerce recruitment program.
From the above data it is understood that competition for HSST Commerce will be higher. Only candidates who have undertaken intense preparation can clear the exam and get appointed before the expiry of the ranked list.
