RPF Notification 2024

RRB has mainly published two notices for the recruitment in RPF. One is for the Sub Inspector post and the second one is for constable post.

RRB released SI recruitment 2024 notification Centralized Employment Notice No. RPF 01/2024 for the recruitment of Sub Inspectors. Aspirants can apply for the post from 15 April, 2024. And Centralized Employment Notice No. RPF 02/2024 for the recruitment of constables.

The RPF Sub Inspector is level 7 pay grade and offers ₹ 35,400 as salary. The RPF Constable is a level 3 pay grade and offers ₹ 21,700 as salary.

RPF Eligibility criteria 2024

Candidates applying for RPF recruitment 2024 must be able to prove the following eligibility as mentioned in the official eligibility criteria for the recruitment. Candidates must fulfil all the conditions regarding Nationality, Age Limit, Educational and Physical qualifications.

Let’s look at each of the criteria in detail.

Nationality

All candidates participating in RRB RPF recruitment must be a citizen of India. Note that Non-resident Indians / NRIs are not eligible to apply for the recruitment.

Age Limit

The RPF Sub Inspector candidates must be aged between 20 and 28 years. The RPF Constable candidates must be aged between 18 and 28 years. Candidates belonging to different communities has following age relaxation for RPF recruitment

• SC & ST candidates can have an upper age relaxation of 5 years
• OBC (Non-creamy Layer) candidates – 3 years
• Ex-servicemen with at least six months continuous service after attestation
  • UR & EWS: 3 years, after deduction of length of service from age
  • OBC – NCL: 6 years after deduction of length of service from age
  • SC & ST: 8 years, after deduction of length of service from age
• Female candidates, who are widowed, divorced or judicially separated from husband but not remarried:
  • UR & EWS: 2 years
  • OBC – NCL: 5 years
  • SC & ST: 7 years

Ages of the candidates will be considered only based on the date of birth of candidates. Candidates applying for any of the two posts must be able to prove the date of birth according to the following table.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must fulfil the educational qualification for the respective posts as per the official notification.

According to CEN RPF 01/2024 applicants of SI post must be graduated from a recognised university. And as per CEN RPF 02/2024 applicants of constable must have a 10^th pass or equivalent from any of the recognised board.

Candidates must have acquired the prescribed educational qualification on or before the last date for submission of application. Applicants waiting for the final results are not eligible to apply and such applications will be rejected.

Physical Qualification

The candidates of RPF Constable and Sub Inspector 2024 must be able to prove their body measurements at the time of Physical Measurement Test. The required measurements for different category of candidates are as mentioned below.

The physical measurements for chest is only for male candidates in both SI and constable selection. The Physical measurements will be taken on the same day of Physical Efficiency Test.

RPF Application Fee: Constable & SI 2024

The application fee for RRB RPF recruitment is ₹ 500/-. Candidates who attend the Computer based Test will receive a refund of ₹ 400/-.

The candidates belong to SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, Female, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC) have to pay ₹ 250 only. And the full amount will be refunded on appearing for the computer-based test.

All applicants can pay fees only through online mode such as internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI.

RPF Selection Process 2024

The selection process of RPF SI & Constable involves three stages; Compute Based Test, Physical Efficiency Test / Physical Measurement Test and Document Verification.

The computer-based test is being conducted for 90 minutes. There will be 120 questions each question carries 1 mark for right answer and -1/3 mark for wrong answer. RRB will inform the date and venue of examination through website, SMS and email. Once the application is submitted all candidates are advised to regularly visit RRB’s website for timely updates.

After conducting the test in multiple shift, RRB will normalize the marks secured by each candidate and candidates who have scored marks equal to or above the minimum cut-off mark will be shortlisted and called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test and Document Verification.

The PET/PMT tests are qualifying in nature and have no specific marks awarded for the performance.

Document verification will be followed by the above-mentioned tests. Candidates called for Documents verification should present the original of the following documents

• 10^th / Matriculation Certificate as proof of age
• Graduation (for SI recruitment) / 10^th / Matriculation certificate as proof of educational qualification
• Caste Certificate (for SC, ST & OBC-NCL candidates) in the format prescribed for employment under Central Government,
• Discharge Certificate for Ex-Servicemen
• Two copies of self-attested colour photograph
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the present employer in case of serving Govt. Employees,
• Domicile certificate wherever applicable,
• Certificate belonging to Economically Weaker Section in the format prescribed for employment under Central Government.

How to Apply for RPF Constable & SI Recruitment 2024

Applicants must create an account for the CEN through the official RRB website. Create the account using an active mobile number and valid email ID. Each candidate should submit only one application. Multiple applications will result in rejection and debarment. Mandatory scanned documents include a recent passport-sized JPEG image (30 – 70 KB), a signature in running handwriting JPEG, and a SC/ST certificate (only for candidates requesting free pass for train travel) in PDF format(500 KB). Candidates must have at least 12 copies of the same photograph for future use.

Candidates must fill out an online application with correct information. And best advised to re-check before submission. The CBT exam will be available in English, Hindi, and 13 regional Indian languages. Choose the medium of examination from the list on the online form. After submitting the application, choose the mode of payment and complete the payment process. Acceptance of the online application will occur after receiving confirmation of fee payment. Printing the application is not allowed.
