Overview

Kerala PSC has revised the eligibility for LP UP notification 2024 category number 707/2023 and 709/2023. Kerala PSC published and opened the portal for application for the LPSA UPSA notification, since there is a change in the eligibility criteria. With the new amendment in notification thousands of job-seekers become eligible for the recruitment. LP UP Notification Revised

The latest PSC exam notification for Kerala PSC LP UP was published in December 2024. The notification was released for the recruitment of eligible candidates for the vacancy of teaching in upper primary and lower primary classes of Government schools under Government of Kerala. The recruitment is conducted district-wise.

LP UP Assistant Qualification

As per the revised notification the new educational qualification required for applying is as follows:

1. SSLC, conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent

OR

Pre-degree, from any of the Universities in Kerala or equivalent examination recognised by such universities.

2. TTC, conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations. Kerala.
3. KTET, conducted by the Government of Kerala.

KTET category 1 qualification is only accepted for LPSA recruitment. Candidates with KTET Category 2 and KTET Category 3 can apply for both LPSA and UPSA exams.

4. In the absence of TTC, any degree with B.Ed / B.T / LT conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala is accepted. This qualification is only accepted for UPSA recruitment.

LP UP Kerala PSC Revised Clause

When the notifications were published in December, the clause for eligibility was slightly different. According to the previous LPSA / UPSA notifications, only candidates who have learned Malayalam as a subject in their SSLC or equivalent class could apply for the examination.

As this clause had cut the opportunities of thousands of job-seekers, Kerala PSC amended it. As per the revised notification candidates only require the mentioned eligibility to apply. Those who had not studied Malayalam as a subject in their 10^th or equivalent can also apply for the upcoming LPST UPST exam.

Who can apply for revised LP UP exam?

As per the information from Kerala Public Service Commission Office, those who are applying as per the revised LP/UP notification must have acquired all the other mandatory qualifications before the first notification in December. This means, job-seekers who have acquired all or any of the qualification after the first notification must not apply through the present application window.

LP UP Last Date.

Candidates who satisfy all the above-mentioned conditions and qualifications should apply before 16^th June, 2024. Separate application for LPSA and UPSA should be submitted if the candidates is willing to appear for both the recruitments.

LP UP Exam Date 2024

The revised notification seems to have no effect on LP UP exam date. As per the pre-decided Kerala PSC July calendar the LP UP exam date will be 06 July, 2024. Candidates are supposed to receive the admission tickets in their respective PSC candidates’ profile since 22 June, 2024.
