Overview

RRB has released notification for RRB Technician Grade 3 and Grade 1 Signal post Recruitment. The Centralised Employment notice initiating the respective recruitment process was dropped in the official site of RRB on 20^th January 2024. The official notice and detailed notification are available in the site of RRB regional offices’ website. Eligible candidates should apply before the last date for submitting the application. RRB Technician Recruitment 2024 Notification

Railway Recruitment Board has published the notice with CEN number 02/2024 for the recruitment of Technicians in Indian Railways. According to the notice the date of application started on 9^th March, 2024. All eligible candidates aspiring job under Railway shall apply before the last date to apply.

RRB Technician 2024 Vacancies

Indian Railway is one of the largest public sector organisations providing the largest number of job opportunities to eligible candidates. RRB Technician Last Date to Apply

The last date to apply for RRB Technician recruitment is on 9^th April, 2024. Candidates have to finish the registration and fee payment procedures before the mentioned date. No applications submitted after the deadline will be included for the recruitment process.

How to Apply RRB Technical Post 2024?

1. Candidates must create an account for the CEN via the official RRB website, providing an active mobile number and valid email ID for OTPs. No changes to details allowed. If already created, use that account credentials to log in.
2. Candidates are allowed to apply only one RRB for a specific pay level and submit a common online application for all notified posts. Applications should be submitted through official RRB websites, and separate applications are required for each pay level. Applying to more than one RRB for the same pay level will result in rejection and debarment.
3. Candidates must submit a recent, clear, passport-sized photograph, a scanned signature in running handwriting, a SC/ST certificate in PDF format, and a scribe's passport size photograph. They must also provide details of the scribe, including their photo and reasons for change. The scribe must be uploaded without wearing dark glasses or a cap, and changes at the exam venue are generally not permitted.
4. The Common Services Centre (CSC) in India, part of the National eGovernance Plan, offers online application submission and fee payment through e-wallet to candidates. With over 1.5 lakh CSCs across the country, candidates can find their nearest centre on the website www.csc.gov.in.
5. Candidates are advised to regularly visit official RRB websites for authentic information and updates on the recruitment process and any changes in this notification.
6. Candidates are responsible for proving the validity of the information submitted in the online application with original documents.
7. Candidates must keep their personal mobile and email ID active during the recruitment process for communication via SMS and email. RRBs will not accept changes to these details. They are advised to remember their Registration Number for further recruitment stages.

RRB Technician Application Fee 2024

Fee for General candidates in RRB Technical exam is ₹ 500. Candidates will receive ₹ 400 as refund after deducting bank charges. And candidates from categories such as SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC) should pay ₹ 250. And the entire amount after deducting bank charges will be refunded Only candidates who appears for Computer Based Test will receive the refund.

Candidates eligible to appear for different pay levels should pay fee for each exam separately.

Candidates can pay the fee only through online mode such as internet banking, debit/credit cards or UPI.

RRB Technician Eligibility 2024

Only candidates who satisfy all the eligibility Criteria regarding citizenship, age limit, educational qualifications and medical fitness shall apply for the recruitment.

Citizenship

The candidates applying for the recruitment of technician 2024 must be a citizen of India, Nepal or Bhutan. Also, migrants from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, The United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam can also apply for the posts.

Age Limit

Only candidates whose date of birth lie between 2^nd July, 1988 and 1^st July 2008 (both dates included) shall apply for Technician Grade – I Signal. And only candidates whose date of birth lie between 2^nd July, 1991 and 1^st July 2006 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for Technician Grade – III.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification required for Technician Grade I Signal post is as follows:

1. Bachelor of Science in Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Instrumentation from a recognised University / Institute or B.Sc. in a combination of any sub-stream of basic streams of Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Instrumentation from a recognized University Institute

Or

2. Three years Diploma in Engineering in the above basic streams or in combination of any of basic streams’

Or

Degree in Engineering in the above streams or in combination of any of above basic streams’

There are 17 categories to which Technician grade III are filling. The most demands the educational qualifications of Matriculation / SSLC & ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/ SCVT in the relevant trade.

RRB Technician Selection Process 2024

The recruitment process of RRB Technician post involves

1. Computer Based Test
2. Document Verification
3. Medical Examination

Computer Based Test

CBT will be conducted for 100 marks. The time allowed is 60 minutes. There will be deduction of 1/3 mark in case of wrong answers marked. If exams for same pay scale are conducted in multiple shifts normalization will be done. Students of each category must score the respective minimum marks. The minimum marks are as follows

• UR & EWS – 40%
• OBC (NCL) – 30%
• SC – 30%
• ST – 25%

Candidates can attend CBT in any of the following languages which should be selected at the time of application.

Languages: Malayalam, English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

Document Verification

Candidates shortlisted for DV must submit original documents and self-attested photocopies at the time of DV, upload scanned copies of photo and signature, and produce certificates in English or Hindi. No additional time will be given for non-production, and absentees will forfeit their candidature. Certificates produced during DV must be in prescribed formats. The date of Document Verification will be announced along with or after the publication of the result of CBT.

Medical Examination

Medical examination for RRB Technical post will be done when the candidates is invited for document verification. To the post of Technician Grade, I Signal the candidates require to fulfil the following medical standards.

The candidates must be generally fit in all respects. And should possess

Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power lenses not to exceed 4D)

Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required. Also, the candidates must pass the test for Binocular Vision.

RRB Technician Exam Date 2024

The Exam date of RRB Technician exam hasn’t been declared yet. The exact dates will be announced after the completion of entire registration process nationwide. All the same we expect the examination to be commence in October – December exam cycle.
