• Must be an Ex-serviceman (Army / Navy / Air Force / CAPF)
• Must have worked as a driver during service.

4. Other Conditions

• Differently-abled candidates are not eligible.

Kerala PSC Driver Technical Qualifications 2025

To apply for the Kerala PSC Driver post, candidates must have the following technical qualifications:

• A current valid driving licence for Motorcycle with Gear, Light Motor Vehicle (LMV), Heavy Passenger Vehicle (HPV) and Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) along with a Driver’s Badge.
• Practical driving skills in LMV, HPV and HGV, which will be checked through a Kerala PSC driving test during the selection process.
• The driving licence and badge must stay valid at every stage of the Kerala PSC selection process, including the application deadline, OMR exam, Physical Efficiency Test, Practical Test and One Time Verification.

1. Minimum Physical Standards

• Height: Minimum 168 cm
• Chest: Minimum 81 cm with 5 cm expansion

For SC/ST candidates:

• Minimum height: 161 cm
• Minimum chest: 76 cm (Chest expansion of 5 cm is mandatory)

2. General Health Requirements

Candidates must have good physical health and be free from physical defects such as:

• Knock knee
• Flat foot
• Varicose veins
• Bow legs
• Deformed limbs
• Defective speech or hearing

These conditions will lead to disqualification.

3. Eye Sight Requirements (Without Glasses)

• Right Eye: Distant Vision 6/6, Near Vision 0.5
• Left Eye: Distant Vision 6/6, Near Vision 0.5

• Colour blindness, night blindness, squint or any serious eye condition will be a disqualification

4. Medical Certificate Requirement

All candidates must submit an original Medical Certificate at the time of the Physical Efficiency Test or Practical Test.

• Part A: Issued by a Government Ophthalmologist
• Part B: Issued by a Government Medical Officer (Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant or above)

The Medical Certificate must be uploaded in the candidate profile and produced in original during document verification.
