The candidates can expect the University LGS notification at any time. Most probably, it will be officially declared in the official website of Kerala PSC. This was a much-discussed issue for many years. The main topic of discussion was the University LGS qualification!! Anyway, after many years of awaiting, the commission has eventually come forward with a final decision regarding the qualification.

What is the final decision?

According to the higher authorities, the candidates who have passed his/her 7th grade (minimum qualification) are eligible to apply. The interesting fact is something different. No degree level candidate is allowed to apply for this particular post. The decision was taken because of the recurrent plea of PSC to the concerned higher authorities. This was a news in many of the Malayalam journals, newspapers and educational magazines. A late verdict might have affected a group of PSC aspirants’ chances of writing the exam. In order to avoid this, they have finally released the verdict on December 9, 2022.

What is the Age Limit?

Like all other exams conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission, the maximum age limit for general candidates is 36, and the minimum age to apply for the exam is 18.

More than thousand vacancies

The first judgement was announced on November 2020 and they demanded the skill of reading and writing along with the 7th grade qualification. But this too became a matter of controversy and the authorities were mum during that time. According to the latest updates there are more than thousands of anticipated LGS vacancies in thirteen different Universities in Kerala. Thus, followed by the exam in 2023, the authorities are planning to publish the University LGS ranked list in the same year.
