The KTET Notification November 2024 is released on 06-11-2024. The notification invites all interested candidates with appropriate educational qualification to apply through the official online channels before the closing date. Find the detailed notification PDF in the official KTET website.

KTET 2025 Eligibility

Candidates should satisfy the required qualification as on the date of the publication of KTET 2024-’25 notification. The applicants of each category must satisfy the respective educational qualification criteria.

Category 1

A pass in Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary or equivalent with a minimum 45% marks. And Kerala Government Exam Board’s Trained Teachers’ Certificate or Diploma in Education (TTC / D.Ed./D.L.Ed.)

Or

A pass in Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary or equivalent with a minimum 45% marks. 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per 2002 NCTE rules.

Or

A pass in Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary or equivalent with a minimum 50% marks. And a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

Or

A pass in Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary or equivalent with a minimum 50% marks. And a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

Category 2

Any degree eligible for B.Ed. course and any of the mentioned 2-year course certificate in Elementary Education (Diploma/TTC/D.Ed./D.L.Ed.)

Or

Any degree (with a minimum of 45% marks) eligible for B.Ed. course and either B.Ed. or DLEd (the changes in NCTE rules will affect this qualification)

Or

A pass in Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary or equivalent with a minimum 50% marks. And 4-year degree of Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)

Or

A pass in Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary or equivalent with a minimum 50% marks. And 4-year B.Sc./B.A. in Education (BA.Ed. or B.Sc.Ed.)

Or

The candidates with BBA from any universities or such universities recognised by any one I Kerala can apply. Also the final year students of D.Ed/D.El.Ed, B.Ed. provided that the candidates should satisfy other qualifications. And students must present institution head’s certification that the candidates are a final year student.

Category 3

B.Sc./B.A./B.Com. with a minimum of 45% marks and B.Ed. in the same subject. From any universities or recognised by such Universities in Kerala

Or

MSc.Ed. degree holders with degree in same subjects such as Mathematics/Physical Science / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology with a minimum mark of 50% (obtained from the regional institutes of NCERT)

Or

B.A. with marks not less than 40% and certification with LTTC/D.Led.

Category 4

Any candidate who suffice the Kerala Educational Act and Rules, Chapter XXXI, with eligibility in subjects such as Arabic/Hindi/Sanskrit/Urudu and teachers in specialist category and Physical Education shall apply for KTET Category 4.

KTET January Exam 2025

This crucial certification test for teachers, qualified to teach up to the level of 10^th class, will be conducted in January 2025. The exam is conducted in pen and paper mode. In the upcoming Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test candidates will be tested for their knowledge in Psychology, Language and core subjects.

Exam Pattern

The KTET exam 2025 for all categories are conducted for a total of 100 marks. No negative marks are awarded for wrong answers

Result

The KTET exam results will be published within two months since the commencement of exam. Candidates from general category must score 90 marks and candidates from SC/ST/OBC AND OEC categories must score 55% on total for the respective KTET categories. Sectional cut offs are not present in KTET exam.
