CTET Notification 2023 is Out! | Exam Date: July 2023

CTET 2023 notification was released by the Central Board of Secondary Education on 25th April 2023 which has the conducting authority of the exam. Exam will be conducted in CBT (computer-based test-online) mode. CTET is a provision laid down by the Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) as per section 23 of the Right to Education Act to determine a minimum quality for a person to be eligible for the appointment of a teacher from I to VIII grade. The main intention of CTET includes:
- It is a national level exam and is considered as a bench mark criterion for determining teaching quality.
- This act as a bridge between the teacher and the student in transcending education with improved standards
- And this is a positive act on the education stake holders in India to recognize that Government emphasises on the quality of education fostering our Indian educational sector.
CTET exams will commence from July 2023 and is co-terminus with the month of August 2023. The tentative schedule of the exam and the shifts are given below.

CTET Notification 2023 Overview
The CTET Notification 2023 released in the month of April 2023 details a comprehensive information about the exam. The candidates can register through the official website and the portal remains active till 26th May 2023.

The candidates must not wait for the last minute to apply as the exam cities are allotted on first cum first serve basis. Examination centres will be allotted as per the candidate’s preference and the availability of that particular city. And if there is nil availability of a particular city at the time of the application, then the candidates will be provided with the choice to select the next available city or cancel the current transaction. Upon cancellation, the full amount will e refunded to the payee account and the application will not be considered for the CTET exam. Further, the candidate will not be entertained under any circumstances to opt for the examination city that is already full at the time of the application. The request for the examination centre thereafter will not be accepted by the board at any cost.

CTET Notification 2023- Important Points
CTET Notification 2023 illustrates the structure and content of CTET exam distinctly. All the questions in CTET will be of multiple-choice type (MCQs), with four choices to choose from. Each right response may attract ‘1’ mark each and there will be no negative marking.
There will be two papers for CTET viz., Paper-I and Paper-II.
- Paper-I will be for aspirants who intend to teach for classes I to V
- Paper-II will be for aspirants who intend to teach for classes VI to VIII

CTET Exam 2023 Age Limit
The minimum CTET age limit to apply for CTET exam 2023 is 18 years however there is no particular upper age limit for the exam and can be attempted irrespective of any age above the minimum age of 18 years. Age relaxations are applicable as per various categories seeking so.
CTET Notification 2023 Eligibility
1. Can a candidate undergoing Teachers Training Course apply for CTET?
Ans: CTET can be applied by TTC students and should refer as ‘currently pursuing’ while applying.
2. What is the minimum percentage of marks required in the post-graduation apart from the teaching degree?
Ans: The candidates should secure a minimum of 55% marks for their post-graduation.
3. Does the candidate’s eligibility is being verified at the time of application?
Ans: The candidate’s eligibility will not be verified at the time of applying for CTET.

CTET Educational Qualification 2023
The CTET Educational qualification mandates a minimum 55% marks in the post-graduation along with a degree in teaching. The candidates satisfying the above eligibility criteria are provisionally allowed to take part in the first stage of the recruitment. And mere presence in the exam does not imply that the candidate’s eligibility has been verified by the conducting board.
The exam will be conducted in two papers, paper-I for teachers in class I to V and paper-II for teachers in class VI to VIII.
