The National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) has officially released the EMRS recruitment 2025 notification for a vacancy of 7267 teaching and non-teaching positions across the Ekalavya Model Residential Schools in India. Eligible candidates can apply for EMRS Recruitment 2025 on or before October 23, 2025.

What is EMRS Recruitment 2025?

EMRS Recruitment 2025 is a competitive selection process to hire teaching and non teaching staff in the Ekalavya Model Residency Schools across India. EMRS Recruitment 2025 is a golden opportunity for all aspiring candidates below 50 years to serve in Ekalavya Model Residential Schools for tribal students from class 6 to class 12 established by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. As of July 2025, there are 728 EMRS schools targeted to be established, with 708 EMRSs sanctioned and 405 schools currently functional across India.

EMRS Recruitment 2025 Application Fee

EMRS recruitment 2025 fee consists of both application fee and processing fee. There is a special provision in EMRS recruitment rules 2025 that mandates application fee is not needed for females, SC, ST and PwBD candidates. However, processing fees along with Goods and Service Taxes (GST) are mandatory for all applicants.

EMRS recruitment 2025 PGT eligibility criteria include

• Post Graduate Degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects Plus
• BEd degree from NCTE recognised institution with at least 50% marks in the chosen subject.

OR its equivalent qualification.

EMRS Recruitment 2025  PGTs Age Limit

EMRS Recruitment 2025 PGT age should not exceed 40 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories is applicable as per government of India rules. The age limit is 55 years for EMRS employees.

EMRS Recruitment 2025 Salary Details

EMRS Recruitment 2025 Mode of Examination

Tier-I of the EMRS Recruitment 2025 Staff Selection Exam (ESSE-2025) will be conducted in MCQ "OMR Based (Pen-Paper)" mode while Tier-II will be a combination of descriptive questions and MCQ "OMR Based (Pen-Paper)" mode. After Tier-II, there will be an interview for the post of Principal and skill test for the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant.

Tier 1 - preliminary Exam in OMR mode.

Tier 2 is only for candidates shortlisted in the ratio of 1:10 against the notified vacancies on the basis of tier 1 preliminary examination.
