It comes under the category of Degree level exams which has generally two major stages to be attended, (1) Prelims Stage and (2) Mains Stage. Until the last time, there was only a single objective test. If we make a comparison with all the other competitive exams conducted by Kerala PSC, the Assistant exam is one of the demanding exams in 2023. There are about 13 plus Universities in Kerala where the appointment is taking place. According to the PSC rank list in September 28,2020 the approximate appointment orders occurred. There were 728 appointments in the ranked list which was released in September 28, 2022. For the post of Computer Assistant post, the number of vacancies reported were 333.

University Assistant Job

A University Assistant is actually the custodian of files in universities. The salary of the same post is something which attracts and motivates a person to study more. The current PayScale as per Kerala Public Service Commission is Rs. 39,300-83000. This is just the basic scale, in addition to all these you will be getting a Dearness Allowance OF Rs.2751 and Home Rent Allowance of Rs. 3980. In total, you will be getting Rs. 45931/- as an approximate salary.

The last exam was held in the year 2019 and the PSC rank list got published on 28th September 2020. The validity of the list will get expired on 27th September 2023.

University Assistant Exam Date

The University Assistant exam date is not yet announced. Anyway, we can expect the same in between the months of May and August. The mode of exam will be objective. So, we can expect the second level of exam (Mains Exam) at the end of this year or at the beginning of 2024.
